Maintenance

Keep the system reliable.

Repairs, health checks and tune-ups on existing systems — including ones we didn't originally install.

At a glance

What we plan, where it shows up, and how we approach it.

A scannable summary before the detail.

  • Repairs across cameras, alarms, beams, fencing and access control
  • Routine system health checks and reports
  • Camera lens cleaning, refocus and angle adjustments
  • Beam alignment and sensitivity tuning
  • False-alarm troubleshooting and resolution
  • Component upgrades on older installations
Most 'broken' systems just need attention, not replacement.

The approach

How we plan and install.

A deliberate process from the first walk-through to a system you understand and can live with.

01

Listen first

Before we touch anything, we want to hear what's been going on. Patterns matter more than snapshots.

02

Inspect each layer

Cameras, alarms, beams, fencing, access — we walk the whole system, not just the part that prompted the call.

03

Find the root cause

Recurring false alarms usually have a real underlying cause. We'd rather diagnose than mask.

04

Quote and complete

A clear scope and price before we start, and a tidy job when we leave.

05

Document the work

What we changed, why, and what to watch — so the system is easy to live with afterwards.

In context

Where it shows up in real properties.

A few of the everyday situations we plan around.

Older home installs

Systems that worked well once and have drifted out of alignment, or aged past parts of their lifespan.

Estate shared infrastructure

Body-corporate systems with multiple stakeholders, where reliability and clear documentation matter most.

Business premises

Commercial sites needing a second opinion on an existing setup or a new pair of eyes after staff changes.

Properties with intermittent issues

The mystery faults — false alarms, dead zones, drop-outs — that no-one's quite got to the bottom of.

Why it pays to maintain

Reliability is a discipline.

A security system isn't an install-and-forget appliance. Beams drift out of alignment, lenses fog up, batteries weaken, software needs updating. A scheduled check now and then keeps the whole system trustworthy.

Frequently asked

Questions, answered plainly.

  • Yes — that's a large part of what we do. We're happy to assess and maintain installations from any installer, or to take over from one that's no longer reachable.

  • Often yes. Many older cabling installations can carry newer cameras with the right adapters or a sensible upgrade path. We'll be honest about when replacement makes more sense than repair.

  • Annually is sensible for most homes; semi-annually for larger sites and estates. We can schedule it as a recurring visit so nothing slides.

  • Yes — that's one of our most common callouts. The fix is usually placement, sensitivity, vegetation or a tired component, not a wholesale replacement.
